Student Council


     Grafton Elementary School welcomes students to join Student Council!


     The Student Council will provide students with an opportunity to become leaders in their school and community.  The Student Council will help make Grafton Elementary an even better place for students to learn, and ensure that Grafton Elementary is a FUN place to go to school.  Positive student interactions will be increased by promoting activities that create school spirit, such as the selling of school spirit wear.  The Student Council will also organize opportunities for Grafton Elementary to participate in community service projects. 

     The Council will be made up of 2-3rd graders, 2-4th graders, and 4-5th graders.  Students who are interested in joining Student Council will be asked to fill out a self-nomination form.  These forms will be reviewed by a committee of staff members and the principal.  The committee will be looking for students who are committed to being positive role models and decision makers for Grafton Elementary School.

     To become a member:

  • Be a 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade student at Grafton Elementary School
  • Fill out a self-nomination form with a parent signature
  • Will be able to meet on the 3rd Thursday of every month after school from 2:45-3:30p.m.  There must be a commitment for prompt pick-up at 3:30p.m.
Must be dedicated, and committed to being a positive role model for students at Grafton Elementary School.  Grades and classroom conduct are considered
